Born 1958 in Braunschweig, Germany. He studied Art
History, German Literature and Psychology at the
University of Hamburg. M.A. and Ph.D in Art History.
After several academic fellowships he worked as
independent curator for Albertina and Kunsthalle,
Vienna, National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo, Museum
fuer Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg and Deutsches Architektur
Museum, Frankfurt/Main and other institutions. Author
of several books, married with Ulrike Brandi and
together with her owner of Ulrike Brandi Licht in
Hamburg.
