»TANTEIDAN« (Lighting
Detectives) is a non-profit
study group dedicated to
learning lighting culture
through practical methods,
mainly by engaging in fieldwork.
It was established in 1990 with
interested individuals working
in a small lighting design firm
in Tokyo.
Japanese cities are
filled with lights. With rapidly
developing economies after World
War II, the Japanese cities
became brighter and brighter,
which made it safe....
The
annual Forum will be held in Belgrade, Serbia
on September 19th, 2008. Continuing an investigative series into the lighting of public space, the lighting detectives focus their sights on
the lighting identity of cities.
