Eleni Savvidou
|
|
Born in Greece in 1967, Eleni earned her electrical engineering degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - specializing in acoustic design - and her Masters degree in lighting design from the School of Architecture at Parson's School of Design in New York City. She is the recipient of an IALD Scholarship (San Francisco 2002), a Dean's Scholarship from Parson's and from Gerondelis Foundation. Her interest in lighting began while touring Greece and Europe as a student intern for lighting production companies. In Greece, she was involved in acoustic design projects, taught at the School of Journalism of Aristotle University, worked in television and radio production as a lighting engineer & construction consultant, and also consulted in lighting design for theater, television, trade shows, festivals, music and dance performances. Eleni currently works for a lighting design office in New York City.
